Kvagga is a sci-fi story about the dangers of groupthink. People divede themselfs into two distinct groups and there semms to be no escape from this.

The story was developed and directed by Eszter Kovács and Balázs Simon at UMBRELLA. We at Derengő created the 3D production pipeline, the 3D layout and finalized the rough mocap animations.

The unique look is based on vairous 3D and compositing techniques. The show is animated in 12 fps, to create stylized movement and multiple ramp shaders are used to create the right amount of noise on for the shadows.
