The Blocks is a projection mapping short film created for the Football World Cup, showcasing Qatar's natural wonders and technological advancements. Displayed on the monumental MOI building, the sequences move from the sun – the region’s oldest energy source –through cultural elements shaped by the desert’s heat, to modern architecture, culminating in a grand finale celebrating the championship.
We managed the complete production, including direction, concept development, creation of concept art, idea generation, rendering, and overall supervision, ensuring a cohesive and high-quality final result.
The Story
The short film presents Qatar's natural wonders and technological development through a large-scale projection mapping experience created for the Football World Cup.
Narrative Concept
Designed specifically for MOI's monumental building, the story begins with the sun—the region's oldest and most fundamental source of energy. From there, it journeys through Qatar's natural environment, cultural heritage, and technological progress, revealing how traditional values and local identity continue to shape the country's modern development before culminating in a ceremonial finale.
