Live action with animation
The Paddling Guide is a four-part animated educational series designed to inspire recreational paddlers, offering tips and insights for exploring Hungary’s waterways with SUPs, kayaks, or canoes.
We handled the complete production, supporting script development and overseeing art direction, direction, animation, compositing, and rendering to deliver a cohesive, high-quality final product.
Content Development
We began the project by defining the exact requirements of the script. This involved collaborating with tour guides and subject-matter experts, gathering information, and shaping it into a clear and engaging narrative.
Creative Direction
Once the initial narration was in place, we developed storyboards and animatics to establish the pacing and rhythm of the film. Educational content often presents a unique challenge: there is a great deal of information to communicate, but it must remain engaging, dynamic, and easy to follow throughout.
Feedback and Refinement
As the project entered its final stages, it was reviewed by an increasingly wider group of stakeholders. Their feedback led to a number of additional revisions and refinements, requiring the team to remain flexible while maintaining the production schedule.
The Experience
Once the project was complete, it was finally time to experience it as intended. After months of design, development, and refinement, seeing everything come together was one of the most rewarding moments of the production.
