Le Petit Prince and his Odyssey Through Time

Large format 2.5D animation

Le Petit Prince and his Odyssey Through Time Time is a 25-minute large-format immersive animated film exploring the meaning of time through the journey of The Little Prince.

Commissioned by IWC, the film was conceived not as a conventional commercial, but as a story exploring broader ideas around time and how our relationship with it shapes the human experience. Starting from the script, we were responsible for the complete visual development, production and final delivery of the experience.

Art Direction

The creative challenge was to find a visual language that could connect the poetic, illustrated world of The Little Prince with the precision, craftsmanship and identity of IWC — without turning the experience into conventional branded content.

The result was a visual world that remained delicate and illustrative, while feeling refined enough to naturally belong within the world of IWC.

Designing for an Immersive Space

The film was designed from the beginning for an immersive physical environment rather than a conventional screen.
Instead of relying on traditional cuts and shot structures, we worked with long, continuous sequences and compositions that could unfold across the entire space.

Composing Beyond the Frame

Every scene was carefully planned and hand-drawn. Characters, environments and visual elements had to be composed around the audience — considering where attention would fall, how imagery could flow across surfaces, and how a scene could evolve around the viewer.

Music and Storytelling

Music plays a particularly important role in an immersive experience, where it can directly shape how the story evolves through the space.
Some sequences were built around the music, allowing it to drive the timing, movement and progression of the visuals. In others, the score was composed to the edit, responding directly to the rhythm and emotion of the scene. Having the opportunity to develop this relationship between music and image together with Hans Zimmer's team was a true honor.
