In our retro-futuristic 19th-century timeline science has claimed to have unveiled all the mysteries of the world – so when supernatural mutations begin to disrupt the peace they are quickly dismissed as ordinary accidents and, seemingly, the only one who takes the cases seriously is a disgraced veterinary pathologist and his overly enthusiastic intern.
The project
Fruitloopery is a 2D animated, serialized comedic thriller, that leans heavily on character comedy and over the top, B-movie style monster mayhems, but adds to this an elevated feel, grounded stakes, and a dark, truly unsettling mystery that keeps tension high.
Creative Concept
A delightfully weird blend of moody gothic horror, unsettling biopunk themes and a dash of campy pulp adventures revolving around a chaotic investigation into a slowly unfolding supernatural mystery.
Production Pipeline
As the first studio in the country to integrate Toon Boom Harmony into our pipeline, we wanted to build it around something that would test our limits – and that is certainly one of the core aspects of Fruitloopery.
Style
The visual style of the project is deeply rooted in the spirit of the story, with every frame crafted through a fully hand-made artistic process. The creative direction was led by Emi Farmasi, the creator and driving force behind the show, whose vision shaped its distinctive and memorable visual identity.
