A complex topic discussed in a lighthearted way, Economics Dojo tackles the not-so-everyday subject of theoretical economics. Built on the theme of martial arts, the show makes the topic easier to digest and relate to.
We managed the complete production, including script development. Our specialty is dissecting complex topics and presenting them in an easy-to-follow way – even in fields such as economics.
Research
Economics is not only a complex subject but also one shaped by a wide range of perspectives and interpretations. Before development could begin, we spent years researching economic concepts, schools of thought, and educational approaches to build a solid foundation for the project.
Creative Direction
The next challenge was transforming complex economic concepts into something people would genuinely enjoy watching and exploring. At the same time, we wanted to find a visual and narrative framework that could present ideas in a more approachable way while helping to reduce potential bias.
Concept Development
This led to the creation of Economics Dojo, a concept that combines economics with the world of martial arts. The belt progression system provided a natural and intuitive framework for representing growth, mastery, and the gradual acquisition of knowledge.
Visual Refinement
As the project evolved, we refined the visual style to better support the narrative and educational goals. The aim was to create a stronger connection between the visuals and the underlying concepts, making complex ideas more intuitive and easier to understand.
