Realtime VR experience
Kayak VR is an immersive 3D virtual reality game we created in collaboration with the Hungarian Kayak-Canoe Association. Released in 2024, the game brings together cutting-edge VR design with both training and educational value.
Designed and produced entirely by our team, it delivers a realistic paddling experience that mixes true-to-sport simulation with stunning, engaging environments.
The Idea
The project started with a simple question: if an ergometer can already simulate the physical side of kayaking, why not build a complete virtual kayaking experience around it? This idea became the foundation for creating a more immersive and engaging way to experience the sport.
Building the Simulator
To bring the concept to life, we designed and installed custom sensors, tested a range of VR headsets and virtual environments, and integrated the paddle directly into the simulation. The goal was to create the highest possible level of realism, allowing users to feel genuinely connected to the virtual experience.
Technology
The entire project was developed in Unreal Engine and packaged as a self-contained solution that is easy to install, deploy, and operate across different locations and environments.
Ongoing Support
In addition to production and delivery, we provided remote support to ensure that everything continued to run smoothly. This allowed us to respond quickly to technical issues, updates, or operational needs whenever required.
