Pristine Seas: Bringing the Ocean Back

In April 2023, the National Aquarium in Abu Dhabi's Al Qana district hosted the "Pristine Seas: Bringing the Ocean Back" exhibition, an audio-visual showcase featuring powerful photographs and films from the project’s many expeditions, underscoring the importance of marine protected areas in ocean conservation.
We designed and produced a standalone projection mapping piece entirely from scratch, integrating 3D animation, environment design, and compositing to create a visually stunning and immersive experience.
Exhibition Mapping
As part of the exhibition, we were commissioned to create a projection mapping experience designed for a younger audience. The story was guided by a playful penguin character, who connected and introduced the different parts of the experience while helping visitors navigate the content.
Production
We designed and produced a standalone projection mapping experience based on the client's brief and the physical exhibition prints. The project combined 3D animation, environment design, and compositing to create a visually engaging experience that was both informative and entertaining.
Long-Term Partnership
This project was created in collaboration with our long-term partner, Kraftwerk. Over the years, our continued cooperation has led to a variety of exciting projects, built on mutual trust and a shared commitment to quality.
Audience Response
We were delighted with the final result, and the positive reaction from visitors made the experience even more rewarding. Seeing audiences connect with the work is always one of the most satisfying parts of any project.
