Garena Free Fire is a fast-paced battle royale game for mobile platforms, where 50 players compete to be the last person standing on a remote island. Known for its 10-minute matches and unique characters with special abilities, the game became the most downloaded mobile game worldwide in 2019. We were honored to contribute to a Guinness World Record–breaking projection mapping event in Las Vegas.
We brought the 3D animation of the characters and the DJs who created the game’s music to life, eagerly anticipating how it would all come together at a grand hotel. When the moment arrived, we held our breath, captivated by the stunning result.
Gameplay-Inspired Animation
A large part of the project involved 3D character animation. To capture the feeling of a video game, we developed dynamic camera work and scene layouts that mirrored the energy and perspective of gameplay while supporting the storytelling.
Bringing It to Life
Our role was to animate both the characters and the DJs who created the game's soundtrack, gradually bringing the experience to life. Throughout production, we were excited to see how all the different elements would come together within the unique setting of the hotel.
The Reveal
When the installation was finally unveiled, all the anticipation paid off. Seeing the animation, music, and environment come together as a single experience was a memorable moment for the entire team.
