Interactive VR experience
Jurassic Flight is an interactive VR adventure that lets users soar over a prehistoric landscape teeming with dinosaurs. Developed by Somniacs for Birdly, it offers an award-winning, ultra-immersive flight simulation experience.
We managed environment design, asset optimization, character animation, and seamless implementation. The project required precise synchronization between teams in Zürich and Budapest to ensure a cohesive and efficient workflow.
Production Design
In real-time projects, design and technical development often happen in parallel. Every creative decision must be balanced against technical feasibility, requiring constant coordination between artistic vision and implementation.
Historical Accuracy
Beyond the technical challenges, historical accuracy was also an important consideration. We carefully researched the flora and fauna of the period to ensure that the trees, plants, and animals featured in the project could realistically have coexisted around 150 million years ago.
Environment Design
We wanted to create a landscape that was both historically accurate and rewarding to explore from the air. To encourage exploration and bring the world to life, we filled the environment with animated elements and events that react to the player's presence as they fly overhead.
Takeoff
With the design finalized and the production complete, it was finally time to fly. After months of research, development, and iteration, the project was ready to leave the nest and reach its audience.
